Vegetable garden - kohlrabi, carrots, radishes
Designed for the period: spring - summer
Calendar: sowing in May, harvest in July - September
The aim of the project is for children to grow their own vegetables and then have them for snacks. Teachers should explain to children the importance of vegetables in the diet, the importance of vitamins and fiber.
Children sow carrots, radishes, kohlrabi, spinach in beds or boxes (depending on the type) and watch them grow. They weed the beds, dig, plant the carrots, water them, etc. Ideally, a bed for growing similar crops will be set up in the school garden.
Next year, potatoes could possibly be planted in the bed (explain the importance of germination, etc.)
Task for children: make signs to mark the flowerbed where the seeds were sown
