Kulichrasek

Designed for the period: spring - summer

Calendar: sowing March, harvest June - August

A project suitable for the entire kindergarten - all children do the same things, but each class can approach it in their own way, and in the end they can brag about their results to others.

The aim of the project is to teach children to perceive natural changes. To understand the influence of human behavior on nature. Experiments will be conducted with pea germination. Children will learn about natural elements: water, sun-heat and light, earth. Children will learn to care for planted pea plants and observe their changes: growth, flowering, procreation, maturation. The project continues with creating and cooking from peas, each class will prepare its own scenes, songs, a musical scene, a dance, some food. The pod harvest should take place in June under the name: PEAS HARVESTING.

The teacher motivates the children with the poem "Kulihrášek": she explains the cycle of nature and repeats the symbolism of spring with the children. They find answers to the questions: Why do people plant crops in the garden? What does the work of a gardener look like in the spring? What tools and implements are needed for this? What awaits us after sowing peas?

After germination, children will transplant the peas into soil in containers, where they will grow until harvest.
