Spring sowing
The aim of the project is to prepare a suitable spring decoration and to realise how quickly seeds can grow. This project is also suitable for smaller children, because seeds grow quickly, literally before the children's eyes. It also requires minimal care. In this project, it is possible to show children what plants need to grow and then talk about it.
Pour the substrate into the prepared container, sow the seeds, press down lightly, "sugar" the substrate and water regularly, preferably with a spray bottle. The children will take care of the germinating seeds, observe them. In the form of an experiment, explain to the children what all plants need to grow: do not water one container at all, place the second container in the dark, put the third container somewhere very cold. Take good care of the fourth.
Task for children: decorate the containers in which the seeds are grown (make a decorative cover), make decorative incisions in the seeds (various spring motifs on a skewer, willow wicker, ribbons, painted eggs). Decorate the nursery with these decorated arrangements, each child will take their "creation" home.
"Grass" option: fill a stocking with sawdust mixed with grass mixture, shape the stocking into a head - glue on a nose, eyes, and mouth. Place it on a tray and water it and keep it moist. Watch as the grass begins to sprout and grow, then trim the "hair."
This spring decoration can be part of the spring decoration of the kindergarten or the children can take it home. If it stays in the kindergarten - organize an exhibition of "hairy people", evaluate the longest hair, the prettiest head, etc.
Task for children: prepare all the parts of the face from paper or other materials, which they then stick on the face, come up with a name for their hero, and paint a name tag around his neck (to be written by teachers or parents).
